How generative AI is used in my process and my works, and where it will never be used.

$10 Adventures

Big Ol’ Bear Studios is committed to keeping creative works done by real humans. That being said, as a software engineer, I am used to having AI in my workflow, and I wanted to disclose how it may be used in any books produced by Big Ol’ Bear Studios. AI will never willingly be a part of the product you purchase. All text, artwork, page layout, etc. will all be done by hand by real people. AI is used to quiz me on my ideas, help me flesh out concepts I currently have, and build into the idea that becomes the book.

The $10 Adventures process: Inspiration, Pre-ideation, Ideation, Writing, Review, then Art & assembly. AI assistance, used for forming initial thoughts, feeds into the Pre-ideation step only.
AI helps form initial thoughts during pre-ideation, and nowhere else.

Frankly, these are fun projects to work on, and handing it off to a computer defeats the purpose of these creative works that I love to work on so dearly.

AI can also be used as part of writing copy for the website, or maintaining the website.

Consulting

Whether to use AI is something we talk about while clarifying your project. I’m confident and happy to build with it or without it. It’s your call.

Just know the choice affects turnaround time and cost, so we’ll settle it up front and you’ll see that reflected in the estimate.
